more holiday greetings!

Happy holidays & Happy New Year!

Happy holidays, everyone!

From myself (Tabby), Sophie and Magic. :)

concept sketch

(krista)

This will hopefully turn into an acrylic painting some time soon. I really wanted to experiment with atmospheric perspective, and used a reference of Machu Picchu (without the inca ruins!) for the backdrop.

Brachial Plexus Love

(Bea)
This is for a Christmas/Thank you card for my anatomy lab instructor. She is awesome because she goes the extra mile for us. She is much much much more beautiful and younger in person, I just stink at drawing hands and faces. This is just a reference to her loving the brachial plexus and how she would be able to rhyme it off even if she were to forget her children’s names in the far distant future. Here she is knitting the nerve plexus in her old age. We love Dee.

Colourizing old sketches, take two!
I've been so happy since Wensi told us about the overlay mode -> leaf brush with black and white values = top layer texture technique.

Last background.

(Tabby)

It's a kitchen. A kitchen full of disease... one might even call it a dangerous kitchen... or even, the Danger Zone... *cue Mission Impossible music*

Armpit fat.

(albert)

Axillary fat pad. And the more I look at my boards, the more I realize I'll probably have to re-do most of them during the break. Yay for pre-planned Christmas.

More MRP... it's my life til Tuesday at least...

(Tabby)

Have a periwinkle lab (+/- "of doom").

Character sketch

(Tabby again)
One of my characters. Bonus points if you recognize the sheet of paper I was scribbling on ;)

Ooh perspective

(Tabby)

I started doing some sketches and things a bit early, so I have a few things to show...

First, some MRP-related drawings...

These will be backgrounds for my game. They have taken the majority of my drawing time.

BMC Sketch-A-Day

To celebrate everyone's amazing talent and ongoing artistic evolution, Tabby suggested we start a group blog: showcasing daily sketches by the students and faculty of BMC.

Feel free to contribute sketches, animations, interactive projects, and any advice or accompanying anecdotes on your creative process!

We hope this will become an aesthetically pleasing, evolving, and collaborative space to share work; big and small.
